ARTIST STATEMENT What I most enjoy about paintings is that they serve to bridge the gap between our minds.
I am the first American citizen to have had the honor of painting the King of Spain, my natal country. You can see my artwork in private residences, corporate headquarters, learning institutions and public spaces, including in the United States Court of Appeals of Washington, DC, and the headquarters of Milliken and Company Textile Mills, in Spartanburg, SC.
I paint for myself, and also accept your portrait and mural commissions. I can paint what's on your mind, but I have to do it my way. I received my first commissions while a student at the University of the South and Parsons School of Design, and have painted several hundred since then.
