Claude Buckley is the first American citizen to have had
the honor of painting the King of Spain, his natal country. One can see his artwork in private residences, corporate headquarters, learning institutions and public spaces, including in the United States Court of Appeals of Washington, DC, and the headquarters of Milliken and Company Textile Mills, in Spartanburg, SC

ARTIST STATEMENT
"What I most enjoy about paintings is that they serve to bridge the gap between our minds."

What is Fine Art?
A chimpanzee can create Art if what it makes is appreciated as such. This is well illustrated by a Spanish poem where a mule finds a flute and snorts into it, producing a beautiful melody. Does this mean that there is such a thing as Assenine Music, or is it that, by chance, even an ass can make music?
It takes a person years of dedication and a certain amount of natural talent to produce Art that is Fine. Buckley has been fascinated by art since his childhood in Madrid, and began showing his work and taking on art commissions in 1976 while still in high-school. He has collectors worldwide
